The New Yorker
More press for our East Hollywood "Hyena" production coming by way of the New Yorker. Check it out here.
Door to Hell
This burning crater (reportedly where the item below spawned) near Darvaza, Turkmenistan, is called "The Door to Hell" by the locals. Decades ago, geologists were drilling for gas when they hit an underground cavern filled with gas. The drilling rig and camp collapsed into the cave and ignited the gas, which has been burning ever since.
Impending Apocalypse...
Spotted in a Los Angeles area Toys-R-Us just in time for spring break are these kiddie tramp stamps for 50 cents each. Tucked in between the Hannah Montana stickers and the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse stickers, you can choose a butterfly, roses, a fairy, or other tasteful designs. Also, be sure to pick up your pre teen thongs on aisle 12 while your there.

Punksatony Phil...
... saw his shadow, so with any luck the store should be functional by this weekend and for anyone interested we will be taking pre orders on our first run of tee shirts. The initial designs, (click to view large) "Loosey" and "Texas Tea" defy explanation and unapologetically make no sense whatsoever, with the basic marketing strategy behind them being "If you fancy being a walking billboard, cop one", they are being produced in limited quantities and will be available on black and white bodies in Men's sizes only.

Salaam 'alaikum
This is the story of Abdallah Al-Bishi, the Arabian Executioner --that's right, the guy who chops people's heads off with his sword. Here he talks of his job, its required skills, its stresses and its challenges. He shows off his beheading swords, and he remembers the day he went to watch his dad (whose job was also beheading convicts) at work , how he saw a big black hole where the prisoner's head used to be, and how that became the turning point of his life. And he speaks of his own son, Badr, who is now in 'training' to follow the father's career path
